The Annenberg/CPB Project has prepared many telecourse programs that have been broadcast over some PBS stations and also used as part of telecourses by local colleges. Tapes of these programs may be available for free loan or viewing at your local library. Many of the programs are also broadcast under free license via satellite and may be carried by your cable TV operator or public access channels. (Individuals can also downlink if they have a large dish.) Also some PBS stations carry this programming. Check with your local sources. (If they are not being carried locally, please email us and we will try to help.)
For additional information go to the Annenberg/CPB Channel site.
While the course material of the Annenberg/CPB Projects were not meant to support any specific proficiency exam directly, many of the programs broadcast over the Annenberg/CPB Channel can be used to supplement classroom, textbook, and online resources, as the following table illustrates.
